Are There Cheats In The Game?
A: As of version 1.009 of the game, yes there are. To use cheats, you have to enable these in the lobby (there is an Enable Cheats checkbox). Enabling cheats does not impact your game in terms of score or anything else like that, but actually using cheats will greatly reduce your adjusted score, and invalidate your campaign in terms of some online scoreboards.
Once cheats are enabled, you simply have to type the cheat into the chat textbox (hit Enter while playing) and it will happen. The capitalization of the cheats does not matter. The other players will be able to see cheats that you have entered like any other chat message. A successful cheat will show (CHEAT) behind the text. If that doesn't appear, then the cheat was entered incorrectly or cheats are not enabled. To see if cheats are enabled in your current game, or if cheats have been used, you can look in the Galaxy Stats tab of the Stats window.

What Maintenance Commands Are Available To Alter Existing Savegames?
Simply type in the bolded text as shown into the chat textbox and it will enable the functionality noted in the current savegame (your game will first be saved as Autosave_Conversion, and then a full sync will occur, after which the new functionality will be on). Note that these are typically a one-way process, so if you don't like what is added then you'll want to revert to the Autosave_Conversion file.
- cmd:activate expansion n turns on the n-numbered expansion:

- 2 = Children of Neinzul
- 3 = Light of the Spire

- This specific alteration to the savegame does not require a full sync and so does not create a conversion save file, etc. It just makes the changes right in memory, as it's a comparably simple change to the save.
- cmd:enable cheats turns on cheats for the current campaign, but does not itself count as a cheat.
- Note: Having cheats enabled does not affect score or the game's outcome at all, until players actually use the cheats. Disabling cheats is simply a 'safety net' mechanism so that players don't accidentally use cheats, and so that players can't grief by suddenly cheating out of the blue.
- Further note that this command cannot be used when there is more than one active player (in other words, if you use 'manage players' to disable all the players but the host, you can use this command). This is another anti-griefing safety measure.
- Lastly, this specific alteration to the savegame does not require a full sync and so does not create a conversion save file, etc. It just makes the changes right in memory, as it's a comparably simple change to the save.
What Other Maintenance Commands Available Are There?
Simply type in the bolded text as shown into the chat textbox and it will have the stated effect. Your game won't be autosaved, as these don't make permanent changes to anything.
- cmd:toggle hud turns on or off the bulk of the heads up display (HUD) for the game. This is a great way to hide the interface for scenic screenshots or movies. We use it for the official game trailers and screenshots, for instance.
- load_script:<filename> Loads all lines from <filename>.txt in your RuntimeData/ChatScripts/ directory, as if they have been types into the chat. Useful for loading a set of cheat commands to bug-test the game. Seen here.

Useful Tips & Tricks
- -Don’t attempt to conquer everything, only capture planets that have something important/you need, or have strategic value. A planet that has a Zenith Power Generator or a fleet, or worlds directly adjacent to your home world are good for example.
Games Where The Ai Cheats Gta 5
- -At certain AIP points, the AI “techs up” its units, so that the Warden Fleet, Hunter Fleet, and waves will be one level higher. This is a major buff to the AI’s strength, so be careful about increasing the AIP too much too quickly. You can tell when those points are by clicking on the AIP icon in the resource bar at the top of the screen.
- -There is a cap to how strong the Warden Fleet can get. Once it reaches that cap, any resources devoted to the Warden Fleet instead adds to wave budget. IF you see waves suddenly spike up in strength and no/very little AIP has increased, it’s probably because the Warden Fleet is at its maximum capacity. Start grinding down the Warden Fleet to return waves to normal strength.
- -Neutering planets refers to killing everything on an AI planet except for the Warpgate and Command Station. This makes the planet almost harmless to travel through. Don’t just leave it. Note: The AI can rebuild turrets if they were originally around the Command Station on the planet. Be aware.
- -Cross Planet Attacks are best dealt with piecemeal. You don’t want to have a sudden rush of AI units barge into your homeworld while you’re dealing with something else on a different planet. Generally, the units from a cross planet attack will wait outside one of your planets, and once they have amassed enough units or feel confident enough to take on your planet they will charge all at once. While they are gathering, find the planet they are on and kill off as many as you can. While this will typically cause them to retreat and go to a different planet, it’s better to deal with that threat a little bit at a time.
- -Find and hold (by default) both major data centers for a HUGE AIP reduction.
- -Reconquest waves happen once you cross a certain AIP threshold. You can click on the AIP icon in the resource bar at the top of the screen to see what that point is.
- -Spending Science on ship upgrades is more useful early than on economics
- -ARSs and Tech Vaults are very strong early-game objectives
The longer you wait before hacking a tech vault, the bigger the discount is (example, generalist costs 2000 knowledge to upgrade from mk1 to 2 and 4000 from mk2 to 3. If I hack a tech vault that has generalist tech now, I will save 2000 knowledge. If I upgrade generalist first THEN hack the tech vault, I save 4000 knowledge.
- -Strength does not consider unit counters. 500 pike corvettes have more strength than 300 v-wings, but since v-wings counter pike corvettes, they’ll win, despite having an inferior strength value. Carefully consider if you can win against the AI even if your strength is higher than it’s.
